    • WHAT IS RAGGING?
  • Ragging is any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness to any student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which cause or likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the psyche & a fresher or a junior student.”

  • INC REGULATIONS ON RAGGING
  • It is clearly mentioned in the regulation that RAGGING is totally banned and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging is liable to be punished.
  • FORMS OF RAGGING:
  • Display of noisy, disorderly conduct, teasing, excitement by rough or rude treatment or handling, including rowdy, undisciplined activities which cause or likely to cause annoyance, undue hardship, physical or psychological harm or raise apprehensive fear in a fresher, or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such a student will not do in the ordinary course and which causes him/her shame or embarrassment or danger to his/her life, etc.
  • PUNISHMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN/OR ABETMENT OF RAGGING :
  • 1. Cancellation of admission.
  • 2. Suspension from attending classes.
  • 3. Withholding/withdrawing scholarship/fellowship and other benefits.
  • 4. Debarring from appearing in any test/examination or other evaluation process.
  • 5. Withholding results.
  • 6. Debarring from representing the institution in any national or international meet, tournament,     youth festival, etc.
  • 7. Suspension/expulsion from the hostel.
  • 8. Rustication from the institution for periods varying from 1 to 4 semesters or equivalent period
  • 9. Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution.
  • 10. Fine upto Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh only)
  • 11. Any other punishment as decided by the competent authority
  • Affidavit by students and parents
  • Each student and his/her parents/ guardian shall have to furnish an affidavit along with the application form to the effect that they will not participate in or abet the act of ragging and that, if found guilty, shall be liable for punishment under the penal law of India. Anti-Ragging Committee
  • INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS
  • RAGGING IS BANNED, thereof all the students of FMCON are advised to refrain from all such activities which are directly or indirectly related to ragging.
  • A wholehearted coordination with the members of Anti-ragging Committee will be appreciated.
  • All students will be bound to obey the appropriate punishments, if found guilty, without any prior indications whatsoever.
  • All students should intimate the incidents of ragging, if any, to the officials of Anti Ragging Committee Members number (Please find the numbers from the displayed Anti Ragging committee list in this website), immediately after witnessing the matter.
  • It is mandatory to all the students to submit online undertaking in each academic year. Students can Fill Their Online Undertaking/Affidavit form from https://amanmovement.org or https://www.antiragging.in/
