Student Nursing Association

Essentially, a Student Nurses Association (SNA) in a nursing college is a student-led organization designed to:

  • Promote Professional Growth:
    • It helps nursing students develop the skills and knowledge needed for their careers.
    • It encourages ethical behavior and a strong sense of professionalism.  
  • Foster Community and Leadership:
    • It creates a supportive environment for students to connect.
    • It provides opportunities for students to develop leadership abilities.  
  • Enhance the Student Experience:
    • It organizes activities that supplement classroom learning, such as workshops, seminars, and community outreach projects.  
    • It facilitates social and cultural events.
  • Support the Nursing Profession:
    • It encourages students to uphold the values and standards of the nursing profession.
    • it helps to create a positive attitude towards the nursing profession.
  • Provide extracurricular activities:
    • It gives students the chance to participate in intercollegiate activities and national and regional conferences.
